Here is a weekly (hopefully) roundup of what’s new with Wasabiburn’s WoW guild and a collection of stuff from the forums and other tasty stuff!
Guild News
Congratulations Wasabiburn on Guild Level 4! We’ve done a great job hitting the daily guild XP cap every single day since launch, and we’re going to keep this momentum up all the way to level 25!
Here’s some of the new perks all members get currently with our level:
- Fast Track: Experience gained from killing monsters and completing quests increased by 5%.
- Mount Up: Increases speed while mounted by 10%. Not active in Battlegrounds or Arenas.
- Mr. Popularity: Reputation gained from killing monsters and completing quests increased by 5%
At this rate we should be at level 5 by Sunday 12/19, which will grant us Cash Flow. All money looted will generate an additional 5% of money to be deposited directly into the guild bank. This will help us fund repair bills and other guild costs greatly, and once this goes into effect we will be re-evaluating the current amounts guild members can use on repairs daily.
Our Cataclysmic Recruitment Campaign has been off to a great start, we have many cool new members from all levels filling our ranks since the expansion launched. We will continue to recruit all levels, but the focus will start shifting towards recruiting level 85 members for heroic dungeon runs and gearing up for raiding and rated BGs. Tanks and healers are appreciated to help out with those long dungeon finder queues. If you know someone who would like to join our guild feel free to invite them or ask someone in guild chat to do so.
We’ve also been slowly picking away at the new guild achievements. Those of us running battlegrounds have been making good progress on some of the PVP achievements. We will also be focusing on the Critter Kill Squad achievement over the next couple weeks, we’ve determined that if you’re in a group with other guild members in the area and you kill a critter we get credit for each member in the area when it was killed. 5 members around 1 critter when it dies = 5 critters killed. We plan on occasionally running around with this fact in mind to make some serious dents in our goal.
Addons
- Archy: This addon makes leveling archaeology a little bit faster. It shows an active list of digsites on your continent, how many fragments you have from different groups, and it can also provide you with a compass pointing to the next closest digsite if you also have the TomTom addon which is really handy so you don’t need to check your map constantly.
- Zygor’s Guide: Leveling to 85? Get this addon. It takes a lot of the thinking out of leveling for those who have no time to spare hunting down that next quest objective. This addon has been a couple years in the making and it’s pretty polished and already updated with Cataclysm content. Also, it already has daily quest guides for WotLK level 80, and they’ll be adding guides for the new Cataclysm level 85 daily quests soon as well, which makes farming those dailies for cash a little more structured and efficient.
